In-house baseball

 

T-ball

4 year olds: T-ball is a in a non-competitive, instructional, t-ball league with 6-8 kids per team. Teams will play 6 games on Saturdays and will receive a team hat & shirt.  The t-ball division is a great way to get your son or daughter started in baseball.


rookies

5-6 year olds: Players in the Rookie division are assigned to teams based on age. Rookies play in a non-competitive, instructional, coach pitch league. Rookie teams play 12 games and get to play in an “All-Star” game at the end of the season under the lights.  The A division is a great way to get your son or daughter started in baseball.

All players receive a Major League replica baseball uniform and at the end of the season all players will receive a trophy for their participation in CLB.


aa division

7-8* year olds: Players in the AA division will be evaluated in February and then drafted onto teams by team managers. AA teams play approximately 12 games, plus an end of the season tournament. Even though scores and standings are kept in the AA division, our coaches are focused on improving the skills of the players vs. pushing for wins, there are several rules in place to make the games fun and educational for players of this age group.

All players receive a Major League replica baseball uniform/hat.  At the end of the season all players will receive a trophy for their participation in CLB. Divisional trophies for 1st and 2nd place are awarded along with the 1st and 2nd place year end tournament winners.


aaa division

9-10* year olds: Players in the AAA division will be evaluated in February and then drafted onto teams by team managers. AAA teams play approximately 16 games, plus an end of the season tournament. The AAA division is focused on instructional baseball, but some of the restrictions placed on the younger divisions are lifted to allow more competitive baseball.

All players receive a Major League replica baseball uniform and at the end of the season all players will receive a trophy for their participation in CLB. Divisional trophies for 1st and 2nd place are awarded along with the 1st and 2nd place year end tournament winners.


majors division

11-12* year olds: Players in the Majors division will be evaluated in February and then drafted onto teams by team managers. Majors teams will play approximately 18 games, plus an end of the season tournament. Majors division players will have opportunities to travel locally to nearby towns to play games against other teams. The majors division will play on a field with at 50 ft. mound and 70 ft. base paths and will follow IHSA baseball rules with some additional local rules. 2-5/8″ big barrel bats are allowed in the Majors division.

All players receive a Major League replica baseball uniform and at the end of the season all players will receive a trophy for their participation in CLB.  Divisional trophies for 1st and 2nd place finishers are awarded. There are medals for our year end Majors tournament for both 1st and 2nd place.  Special awards are given to players who exemplify Leadership and Sportsmanship. Trophies for the league Home Run Leader and Pitching Decisions Leader are also awarded.

Players who graduate from our program in this division participate in an end of the year graduation celebration (paid for by CLB) before they move on to Babe Ruth or other competitive baseball programs.

 

*How is league age determined?
Your child’s league age is the age that they will be on May 1st of the season they are registered to play in. Parents may request that players be placed in the division along with their classmates when their birthday falls in between the league cut off and the school cut off.
