Crystal Lake Baseball offers an all-star program named “Stars” for baseball players ages 8-12. This program is for players looking to play above the normal in-house program but not quite at the travel level. Players must try out and be selected in order to participate.
Formed in 2011, the Stars program was designed to provide in-house players a more competitive baseball experience while also allowing them a taste of travel baseball on a part-time basis. The Stars program is perfect for those players who desire to play more competitive baseball than their local baseball league.
The Stars will play in 2 tournaments as well as 6 additional games from April to July. Players will also play in CLB’s In-House recreation league during the regular season. The additional games that the Stars play will occur on Fridays & Sundays (May through June) against NW Chicago Suburban teams. The Stars will play in two tournaments, one in May (memorial weekend) and one in July (Brian Krueger Memorial Tournament in Lake in the Hills) with other teams from McHenry County. The Stars schedule does not interfere with the in-house schedule.
The cost for Stars will be $325 per player - this includes full uniforms, helmet w/ decals, two tournament registrations, and additional home/away games against NW Chicago Suburban teams.
The Stars play their home games at Crystal Lake Baseball’s premiere facility, Canterbury Yards at Canterbury Elementary School.
