BULLDOGS TRAVEL BASEBALL
Crystal Lake Baseball offers a full-time travel baseball program, the Bulldogs, for advanced baseball players ages 8-12. Players must tryout and be selected in order to participate in the travel program. Crystal Lake Bulldogs Travel baseball includes indoor winter training, professional instruction, full uniform and equipment package, full regular season (8u-12u) games, and multiple tournaments scheduled for each team.
The Bulldogs begin indoor practices in December in our private 10,000 square foot training facility with regular season games beginning in April and running through early July.
Our Bulldogs play in local and out of state/overnight tournaments selected by each team. They will play their home games at Crystal Lake Baseball’s existing facility, Canterbury Yards.
TRYOUTS for 2019 Season:
8u: July 9,10,16,17 at 5pm at Canterbury Yards
Players need only attend one date. Highly recommended to attend July 9 or 10 if possible.
9u: July 18 at 6 pm at Canterbury Yards
10u: July 9 at 6 pm at Canterbury Yards
12u: July 9 at 6 pm at Canterbury Yards

8u: Todd Hode (Former Division 1 assistant coach Fresno State University, Purdue University)
9u: Dan Dreher (8u USSSA World Series qualifier 2018 season)
10u: Scott Martini (Father of MLB player Nick Martini; has coached multiple MLB draftees and Division 1 scholarship recipients)
12u: Todd Sherwood (Former HS coach)
The Bulldog hitting instructor in 2017-18 was MLB player Nick Martini, we are looking forward to Nick working with the teams again this season.
Training begins in December and ends in late March or early April. Teams typically have 2-3 practices a week during winter training.
Our goals are to play the best competition available and to help our players develop to their full potential.
Tournaments- Teams will play 6 to 8 tournaments with 2 or 3 of them being “overnight” trips. Tournament number and location is at the discretion of the manager.
League games- MCBL (Mc Henry County Baseball League) participation is at the manager’s discretion. Usually 18-20 games played early April through June.
$1450 to be paid in a $400 down payment at time of acceptance of your position on the team August 1, 2018 and 6 monthly payments of $175 September 2018 through February 2019. Included in the total fee are costs for indoor training time, trainer fees, uniforms and equipment bags, umpires for home games, field maintenance and preparation (dirt, limestone, lights, chalk, mowing etc..), training equipment (tees, baseballs etc..), and tournament allowances, among other things.
